Türkiye exported bay leaf worth USD 37.9 million in January to September 2026, according to a statement from the Aegean Exporters Associations (EİB) reported on 15 October 2026. Muhammet Öztürk, the EİB coordinating chairman, gave the figures in a World Food Day message.

Of the USD 37.9 million total, USD 23.2 million came from exporters registered with the Aegean associations. The report puts this at 61.2% of Türkiye’s bay leaf exports for the period.
Earlier figures for 2026 and recent years
A month earlier, on 15 September 2026, Ali Fuat Gürle, chairman of the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters Association, reported bay leaf exports of USD 35.5 million for January to August 2026, shipped to 78 countries. Taiwan was the largest buyer at USD 6.8 million, followed by the United States at USD 3.4 million and Poland at USD 3.2 million.
In the same 15 September 2026 statement, Gürle gave full-year totals of USD 61 million for 2024 and USD 51 million for 2025.
The same statement gave thyme exports for the period at USD 80.2 million, with USD 76.3 million coming from the Aegean associations.
